How to Set Up S Voice for First Time Use
Before you can use S Voice, you'll need to set it up properly. Follow the guide below to do just that.

- Driving Mode - Can be switched to ON or OFF . Driving Mode has a submenu where you can adjust these settings:
- My Place for Driving mode - Allows you to set a place where Driving Mode will be activated automatically. You can set any WiFi network or Bluetooth device as a place your phone will automatically connects to - Driving mode will automatically launch.
- Incoming Call - Allows your phone to read out the caller's information for an incoming call.
- ChatON- Allows your phone to read out the caller's information for an incoming ChatON call.
- Message- Allows your phone to read out the caller's information for an incoming message.
- Alarm- Allows your phone to read out the alarm information when an alarm sounds.
- Calendar- Allows your phone to read out events when calendar events activates.
- Voice Control - Allows you to turn ON or OFF Voice control. When Voice control is activated, you can do various tasks using Voice commands. These are the common Voice commands:
- Answer - Answers incoming calls.
- Reject - Rejects incoming calls.
- Stop - Stops an alarm.
- Snooze - Snoozes an alarm.
- Capture/Shoot/Smile/Cheese - Allows you to take pictures.
- Next - Allows you to play the next music file in the list.
- Previous - Allows you to play the previous music file in the list.
- Play - Allows you to play the selected music file.
- Pause - Allows you to pause the currently playing music file.
- Volume Up - Turns your volume up.
- Volume Down - Turns your volume down.
- Auto-start speaker - Automatically turns the speakerphone on when making a call.
- Show Body of Message - Allows you to see the content of new messages when activated.
- Wakeup Command - Allows you to unlock your phone from sleep mode using the pre-configured wake up command.
- Set Wakeup Command - Allows you to set a custom wake up command for your phone.
- Check Missed Events - Allows your phone to read to you missed events every time you connect a headset.
- Home Address - Inputs your home address.
- Log in to Facebook - Logs into your Facebook account and will post a status using your voice.
- Log in to Twitter - Logs into your Twitter account and will post a tweet using your voice.

You can enable incoming call options from S Voice so you can accept and reject incoming calls with voice commands. This has been mentioned in this section
You can enable the Incoming call option in S Voice by following this simple guide:
- Go to your Home screen by pressing the your device's Home button, which is the button on the lower-middle part of your device.
- Once you are on the Home screen, tap the Menu key.
- From the options menu, tap Settings.
- From Settings, tap the My Device tab.
- From My Device, tap Voice Control.
- The upper-right part of the screen will have a switch. Switch it on turn to turn on Voice Control.
- Tap the box for Incoming calls to turn the feature on.
When you receive a call, say "Answer" to take the call or "Reject" to reject it. Your Galaxy S4 will turn the speakerphone on so you can hear your caller. Note: Voice Control will not function if your device is in Silent Mode.
How do I default my Bluetooth headset to use S Voice instead of Google?
To make S Voice your default application when making voice commands, please do the following.
- Go to your Settings app.
- Tap on Applications.
- Tap on Application manager, then tap the All tab, then tap Google Now.
- Tap Force stop, Clear data and Clear cache.
- Go back to the All tab and then select S Voice. Then, tap Force stop, Clear data and Clear cache.
- Open the S Voice app and then tap on Confirm, then Agree, then Skip (to skip the intro tutorial), then close it and go to your Home screen.
- Double-tap your Home button.
- A window asking which application you want to use will pop up; select S Voice, and then hit Always.
Your default application will now be S Voice.

Hello Walakobay.. . I have an S4. I recently deleted a bunch of stuff and now the voice that reads out my alarms has changed to a voice that doesn't sound as good. How can I get the old voice back, or any other voice? I have tried to find an app, in the Goggle Play store, that adds voices but I have not been successful. I also looked in the Samsung store. . . Thank you for your help. I have an S4. I recently deleted a bunch of stuff and now the voice that reads out my alarms has changed to a voice that doesn't sound as good.
