You're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to enable "Download booster" to speed up downloads on the Samsung Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge.
In order to use "Download booster" to speed up your download, your phone needs to be unlocked
It should be on the home screen.
Then, swipe down from the top of the screen
Swiping down will open the notifications panel.
Tap on a gear-shaped icon
This icon is located at the upper-right side of your phone. It is the settings icon.
Now, we are looking for the option to enable "Download booster"
"Download booster" is going to be in "More connection settings". Tap on it one time
Once you see the "More connection settings" menu, tap on the third option, "Download booster"
You will see that "Download booster" works for large files. These are files over 30 MB. It makes their download considerably faster by using both your WiFi connection and your LTE network. Note that this will chew off your data plan a little. So, if you don't have an unlimited data plan, and you do download a lot, you want to avoid it.
Tap on the toggle to enable "Download booster"
This can be used to download a lot of things and when the extra bandwidth is required.
Now, tap on the back button next to "Download booster"
Then, press the home button to go back to the home screen
"Download booster" has been enabled. You will see that there is a little 4G icon with a lightning bolt next to your WiFi connection now. It indicates that you're using both WiFi and 4G to download.
When you want to disable "Download booster", follow steps 2-5
You will go back to "More connection settings". You can disable "Download booster" by tapping its toggle.
This has been a VisiHow tutorial on how to speed up your downloads using "Download booster" on the Samsung Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge. Thanks for watching and have a great day!
