Unroot Samsung Galaxy S4 by Flashing Official Firmware

You just unrooted your phone. You are now happy with your Samsung Galaxy S4's performance but noticed that the device abnormally gets hot and restart every 30 minutes. You plan on returning it for a replacement but realized that you have just voided your phone's warranty by rooting it. Do not worry, we have the solutions for you. Below is the steps on unrooting your Samsung Galaxy S4. Simply follow it and you should be able to regain your device's warranty.
Instructions
- 1Download the official firmware for your Samsung Galaxy S4 at sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=GT-I9500&pcode=0#firmware
- 2You should get some files including one with a .tar.md5 file. Take note of that file.Extract the downloaded file.
- 3Download Odin V 3.07 at mediafire.com/download/7v7zor9d379emeg/AndroidJinn.Com.Odin307.zip
- 4You should get some files including a file named Odin3 v3.07.exe . Take note of that file.Extract the downloaded file.
- 5Remove your battery and replace it back.Turn off your phone.
- 6Press and hold the following buttons simultaneously Volume Down button + Home button + Power Button
- 7By this time, release Volume Down button + Home button + Power Button. A message should prompt you to press Volume Up Key please follow it.You should be able to boot your Samsung Galaxy S4 to Download Mode.
- 8You need Admin permission to be able to succesfully unroot your Samsung Galaxy S4Right click Odin3 V3.07.exe and click Run as Administrator.
- 9Connect your Samsung Galaxy S4 to your computer by using the Samsung Galaxy S4 USB cable.
- 10If the prompt does not appear, make sure to install the correct drivers for your phone by using Samsung Kies. You may download Samung Kies at samsung.com/us/kies/A prompt indicating "Added!" should appear.
- 11On Odin, choose the files extracted from step 2 based on the instructions below:
- 12Tick on the PDA box and browse for the file with the .tar or .md5 extension
- 13Tick on the Phone box and browse for the file with the word "modem" on its file name.\
- 14If there is no such file, ignore it.Tick on the CSC box and browse for the file with "CSC" in its name.
- 15If there is no such file, ignore it.Tick on the CSC box and browse for the file with .pit extension name.
- 16Reset Time boxes.Tick on Enable Auto Reboot and F.
- 17If no PIT File was chosen, do not tick on it.If there is a PIT file chosen, tick on the Re-Partition box.
- 18Make sure that you have followed everything and ticked / unticked the correct boxesReview the steps.
- 19Click Start button and flashing should commence.
- 20When flashing is successful, you should get a PASS message with your Samsung Galaxy S4 rebooting.
- 21You have just unrooted your Samsung Galaxy S4.Congratulations!
- 22Download the application at play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.triangleawayTo restore the warranty, make sure to install Triangle Away app to reset your flash count to zero.
- 23Uninstall the Triangle Away app once you reset the flash count to zero to avoid suspesion.
Tips Tricks & Warnings
- When your Samsung Galaxy S4 get stuck at boot animation after rebooting, wipe data by going to recovery mode.
- You can go to recovery mode by pressing and holding the Volume Up, Home and Power buttons together.
- You can use Volume keys to navigate to Wipe data/Factory Reset and Wipe Cache Partition
- You can use the Power button to confirm actions.
- This procedure will erase your phones internal memory data.
