# To unlock the phone, swipe the screen up. Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see 5 icons. We now need to open the application folder. # Now that the folder has been opened, we need to find and tap the Twitter application.  There is a Twitter icon, which is a blue background with a white bird on tap, and underneath it says the word "Twitter". Your application may be in a different location, so look for the icon in your folder. Now we need to find the settings menu. # Scroll down and find the "News" option. This option is currently activated, indicated by the blue box with the white check mark inside. # However, if we do want to receive news notifications from Twitter, we can press down on the box until it's blue with a white check mark inside. That indicates that the option is activated.
