Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to turn on and off the option to review posts you are tagged in before they appear on your timeline in Facebook on an HTC One M8. == Steps ==
# To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on top of the phone. Once the phone has been activated we will see the lock screen. # To unlock the phone, swipe the screen up. Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see 5 icons. We now need to open the application folder. # We can do that by tapping the icon in the middle, at the bottom of the screen. There is a grid of white dots. This is the icon for the applications folder. # Now that the folder has been opened, we need to find and tap the Facebook application.  There is a Facebook icon, which is a blue background with a white "f" inside, and underneath it says the word "Facebook". Your application may be in a different location, so look for the icon in your folder.  We now need to find the account settings menu. # To do that, we need to tap the menu icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen. There are three gray horizontal lines. They're very faint, but we can see them. # Scroll up or down to find "Account Settings", and tap on it. There will be a gray circle with a white head and shoulders and gear inside. This will open up the account settings menu. # Press down on "Review posts friends tag you in before they appear on your timeline?" Underneath it says "Off", indicating that this option is currently turned off. # Tap on the switch to the right of "Timeline Review", labeled "OFF", to turn it on. This page says, "Review posts friends tag you in before they appear on your timeline? Note: This only controls what's allowed on your timeline. Posts you are tagged in still appear in search, news feed and other places on Facebook." What this does, is it allows us to have some control over what's on our timeline. If someone tags us in a photo or post, we will get to review that post or photo, look at it first, then choose if we want it to appear on our timeline. We can not control where or if they appear in our news feed or other places in Facebook. # Now it says "On" underneath the option, indicating that it is on. There is a slight glitch with this application, especially with this menu. If we press down on this option again to change it, we will see the option turn blue but not open. # We need to press the back arrow in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. We'll see that it's trying to go backwards but doesn't leave the menu.
