Edited by Thor, JellyBean, Jen M
Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to turn on or off the option for the HTC One M8 to vibrate, when buttons are pressed.
Steps
1
To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button, located at the top of the phone
.
2
Once the phone has been activated, we will see the Lock screen
.
3
To unlock the phone, press down on the screen and hold down until it displays this icon here
.
4
5
Once the phone has been unlocked, we'll see the Home screen, and at the bottom, we'll see these icons here
.
6
In this video, we need to find the "Settings" menu
.
To do that, we need to swipe the "Notification" panel down. To do that, press down at the top of the screen, hold down and swipe down.
7
As we can see, this has brought up our "Notification" panel
.
8
In this section, we need to find this icon, in the top right-hand corner of the screen
.
There is a white cog icon which is our "Settings" icon.
9
Press down on it and it will open up our "Settings" menu
.
Notice that is says the word "Settings" in the top left-hand corner.
10
Now, let's scroll down until we get to the phone section, it will say the word "PHONE", in this gray bar here
.
11
Beneath it, we will find this option, located here, "Sound & notification"
.
This is the area we need and we'll see the words "Sounds & notification". Next to it there is icon, which is a speaker, emanating or emitting, some sound waves.
12
Press down on this icon, and it will open up our "Sound & notification" menu
.
13
Now, if we scroll down to the "SYSTEM" section, we want it to say "SYSTEM" here, in the gray bar
.
14
We're looking for this option here, "Vibrate on touch" which says the phone will "Vibrate when buttons are pressed"
.
When we're typing or texting, when we're writing messages, when we press down on buttons, the phone vibrates.
15
We can see this option is selected, it's activated because there is a white tick in a green box, meaning the option is activated
.
16
It can be very useful if we want to know if we've pressed down on a button because it vibrates, it's a clarification, or it lets us know that we have done something
.
It does take up a bit of battery and we may not need the phone to vibrate when we're pressing the buttons. To turn this option off then, just push down on the box and the tick will disappear.
17
If we want to turn this option on, just push down on the box and the tick will appear
.
We will see the box has turned green. When we make the right choice, we can proceed onwards.
18
This then, concludes our tutorial on how to turn on or off the option for the HTC One M8 to vibrate when buttons are pressed
.
