You're watching VisiHow. In this video, we're going to show how to take a photo using the Canon 650D (or T4i) DSLR camera.
Steps
1
To start with, turn on the camera by pushing the power switch to the "ON" position

On the mode dial, there are the different picture modes.

To have the camera control all of the settings, make sure that the marker indentation is set to the green icon
.
It is the automatic mode.

Take off the camera lens cap

To focus, half-press the shutter-release button with your index finger
.

Then, full-press the shutter-release button to take a photo
.

Let's try to focus the camera now

Do it by half-pressing the shutter-release button.

Then, full-press the shutter-release button to take the photo

The "Scene Intelligent Auto" mode decided that it needed to use flash for this scene.

To turn the flash off, choose the mode that is just underneath the green mode on the mode dial

This is the "Flash off" mode.

Now, you can put the flash back down

Again, half-press the shutter-release button to focus

Then, full-press the shutter-release button to take a photo
