Moving to a new town entails a mixture of emotions.  One can feel very excited about it simply because the idea of having new experiences is such an appealing thought.  However, it could also be the opposite because of the past memories that will be left behind.

Moving to another place is not always easy. There are a lot of adjustments that you have to make, not just geographically, but also in terms of the interactions that you have with the people around you. It often takes a few months before you become fully adjusted to your environment.

#Stick to your previous routine, but use and work with the things and people around you to accomplish them. You don't have to completely change your life when you move to a new town. For example, if you used to jog every morning, continue to do so, except that you will do so in a new park and not the previous one. If you stick to your previous routine, it will eventually not feel like you've moved at all.
#Join activities in the community. If you just stay at home all the time and do not exert extra effort to mingle with the new acquaintances around you, the more that you will feel distant and the more that you will miss what you have left behind in the previous town. Look at various activities in your community in which you think you can contribute something and at the same time, something that you personally enjoy to do. Make sure that you join only those which you personally like, as you would not want to add burden to yourself by forcing yourself to do things that you don't really prefer.
#Change your mindset. What's wrong when people move to a new town is that they are so hung up on missing the previous place that they fail to see and appreciate the good things that the new town has to offer. Instead of keeping yourself busy thinking about the past, why don't you just spend that time and energy embracing the present. You will realize that there's a lot of things to be thankful for and everything will start to feel really positive.
#Keep on exploring your new town. Be eager to find out what's there and be excited about what you discover. Think of it as a new learning opportunity for you.
