You're watching VisiHow. In this tutorial, we're going to show you how to restore your factory default display settings on a Mac once you've removed the SwitchResX application. This works for Mac OS X Yosemite and other versions that are supported by the SwitchResX application. == Steps ==
# To do this, the first thing we're going to do is open the "System Preferences" panel. This is done by moving down to the dock, and clicking on "System Preferences". # Alternatively, if we don't have the dock enabled, or we don't have "System Preferences" on it, we can move to the Apple icon at the top left corner of the screen and click once to trigger that menu. # Once we click "Default for display", it will automatically shift the resolution back to the factory default setting. For this demonstration, we aren't going to do this because we have a special setting arranged to create this tutorial video. However, all we have to do is tap "Default for display", and it will automatically restore the screen back to the factory settings.
