Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to set a daily limit on the number of text message notifications you receive from Facebook on an HTC One M8.

Steps

To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on top of the phone

Once the phone has been activated we will see the lock screen.

To unlock the phone, swipe the screen up

Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see 5 icons. We now need to open the application folder.

We can do that by tapping the icon in the middle, at the bottom of the screen

There is a grid of white dots. This is the icon for the applications folder.

Now that the folder has been opened, we need to find and tap the Facebook application
.
There is a Facebook icon, which is a blue background with a white "f" inside, and underneath it says the word "Facebook". Your application may be in a different location, so look for the icon in your folder.

We now need to tap the menu icon in the top right-hand corner to find the account settings menu

Scroll up or down to find "Account Settings", and tap on it

There will be a gray circle with a white head and shoulders and gear inside. This will open up the account settings menu.

Tap on the "Notifications" option

Tap on "Edit" in the "Daily Text Limit" section

Underneath it says, "Unlimited", in this example. We can set a daily limit on the number of text message notifications we receive from Facebook. If we are receiving too many we may need to limit them.

Tap on the chosen amount of text messages

It ranges from "Unlimited" at the top (which is currently selected, indicated by the blue check mark), to "1", all the way to "100". We're going to choose "50". Now it will say "50" underneath of "Daily Text Limit", indicating that we have successfully changed the option.

There is a slight glitch with this application, especially with this menu

If we press down on "Edit" for this option again to change it, we will see the option turn blue but not open.

We need to press the back arrow in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen
.
We'll see that it's trying to go backward but doesn't leave the menu.

We can now press down "Edit" for the option again to open it
