Did you know that there is a leak for the Samsung Note 10.1? We all know that the Samsung Note 10.1 came with ICS or 4.0.4 OS. Although the Tablet received an update of 4.1.2 - which is Jellybean, that's where it stopped. It did not receive any new updates from Samsung. The said device actually received the update in May of 2014 or as least by June of 2014. If you want to install this firmware on your Tablet you can install it on your device.

== Things to Prepare ==
# Drivers. Make sure you have all your USB drivers from your Samsung Note 10.1 installed on your computer. You can simply plug the device to the computer via USB as it will automatically install or you can download the drivers from this [http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/SW/201306/20130610184736640/SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_v1.5.25.0-retail.exe LINK]
# Backup your data. Make a Backup of all the data on your t device (contact, videos, photos, files). This is to ensure you can recover any data you might lose during the process. You can use your Samsung Kies to backup your data.
# Debugging. Enable the USB debugging on your table. this is one of the requirements to enable on your Tablet. Just tap the Menu then tap the Settings and hit the applications. Now, look for the Development Option and check the USB debugging to enable it.
# Charge your battery. Ensure that your Tablet has enough power for you to have the device on at all times to avoid getting interrupted. It's when the battery died during the process, that problems arise - from lost data - to a complete breakdown of your phone.
# Is your device rooted? If your device is rooted, all of your custom ROMs will be deleted and this procedure will only work for the Note 10.1 with the model number of GT-N8000. 
#Just to make things clear, this is a pre-released firmware which "will not void the warranty" of your device. NOTE: This is an old article, but the link to download 4.4.2 still works.
=== Instructions ===
# Install OdinV3. In order to flash the Tablet, you'll need to install OdinV3 on your computer. You can download it [http://terafile.co/6f9352631216/Odin3_v3.09.zip HERE].
# N8000XXUDND5. Extract the firmware that you downloaded earlier, the N8000XXUDND5. Once it has been extracted, and you've installed the ODIN on your computer, you need to boot the Tablet to download mode. 
##You need to turn off the Tablet first then press and hold the following: Volume Down + Power button at the same time. 
##Once you see a warning, follow what it asks you to do.
#Download Mode. Once that you have the download mode on the screen of your phone, launch the ODIN program. 
##You need to run it as an administrator.
##Simply right click the launcher then click on "Run as an administrator".
# Connect your tablet to your computer. You may connect your Tablet to your computer via USB cord, and wait for the coding to detect the Galaxy Note 10.1. This may take a couple of minutes (5 to 10 Minutes). Keep an eye on it until your computer recognizes your tablet.
# Test firmware folder. From the folder you have extracted the test firmware to, select multiple folders to be installed on your Note 10.1 and to replace it with Kitkat. On your ODIN Interface, you need to:
## Click on the AP and select AP_N8000XXUDND5.tar.md5 then "Add."
## Click on the BL and select BL_N8000XXUDND5.tar.md5 then "Add."
## Click on the Cellphone and select MODEM_N8000XXUDND2.tar.md5 then "Add."
## Click on the CSC and select CSC_OXA_N8000OXADND5.tar.md5 then "Add".
# Once you've finished selecting folders:
##Make sure that the F. Reset and the Auto Reboot have been checked.
## Uncheck the Re-Partition option. 
## Leave everything else as it is.
#Now click the start button to star the process and wait for it to complete. This will take couple of minutes.
#Once it's done, a green box will show saying "Passed", and the Tablet will automatically restart with your new Kitkat Firmware installed.
