Disable a Passcode on the iPad Air 2

Steps

In order to turn off, or disable, the password for your iPad, locate and tap on the "Settings" icon

When the settings panel opens, scroll down on the left side of the screen until you find "Touch ID & Passcode"

"Touch ID & Passcode" has a red icon. When you locate this icon, press once.

A popup box may appear asking you to enter your existing passcode
.
Do note that if you haven't set a password yet, you will not see this box. If you are trying to change or turn off an existing passcode, you will see this popup box.

On the right side of the screen, look for "Turn Passcode Off"

Tap one time on this entry when you have located it.

In order to turn the passcode off, you will be asked to enter it again

Now, the passcode is turned off and you will see that the same menu item now says "Turn Passcode On"
