Decompress PlayStation 1 Games from ECM to BIN Using UnECM

Welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to decompress PlayStation 1 games. Compressed PlayStation 1 games have the "ECM" extension. On the desktop, there is "Crash Bash.bin.ecm" this means that this is a compressed file and no emulators will play it. Compressing PS1 games is done to conserve space on the hard drive. To decompress this file, download a program called "Unecm" from this website: http://www.theisozone.com/downloads/playstation/tools/unecm/. '' I have the 7z file for jade cocoon and classicboy emulator I'm using within BlueStacks on my PC. Normally classicboy automatically decompresses the files when I go to play the game. this time it isn't so I'm trying to get the files into a .BIN file format that my classicboy emulator will recognize. I have one of my games working on it currently but that is it. I have tried: Trying opening it many ways within the emulator, trying to find a manual extracting option within the emulator, to no avail. I tried es file explorer within BlueStacks to extract it and it did but into a .bin.ecm file which my emulator couldn't open. and then I put it in a shared folder and used 7z through my computer, not BlueStacks, to extract it and now I have .ECM... the one game I have that works is my copy of legend of legaia in which the emulator automatically extracted the game as I tried to open it and its worked fine since. no issues.. I think it was caused by: No clue ''
