You're watching VisiHow. This is a video tutorial on how to change timeout duration on the Samsung Note 10.1.
In order to proceed, make sure that your device is unlocked and that you're on the home screen
Swipe down from the top of the home screen
This will bring the notification panel down.
Tap the gear- or wheel-shaped icon in the top right-hand corner
This will bring us into the settings. There are four options at the top of the settings menu: "Connections", "Device", "Controls", and "General".
In "Display", tap the second option, "Screen timeout"
You can select the screen time-out duration from 15 seconds to 30 minutes. In this video, it is set to 30 minutes because of making the tutorial.
To change the "Screen timeout" duration, simply tap on any option
For example, if you want to conserve your battery charge, you can tap on "1 minute". Your screen will time out after 1 minute of inactivity.
