You can adjust your Samsung Galaxy S4's volume by pressing on the volume button. Volume adjustment can be applied to ringtones, music and videos. This Howiki will discuss on how to turn your volume up or down and how to switch your phone to silent mode
Adjusting Volume on Samsung Galaxy S4
Should you want to turn your volume up or down, you can press on the volume button: the upper part is the Volume Up, while the lower part of it is the Volume Down
- 1Press Volume Up button once to adjust volume by a notch higher.
- 2Press it more to suit your hearing needs.
- 3Press Volume Up button once to adjust volume by a notch higher.
- 4Press it more to suit your hearing needs.
Switching to Silent Mode
If you feel that there is a need to turn your phone to silent mode, you can use any of the methods below. You can opt to turn it off completely silent without vibration or enable vibrate. The methods are:
- 1Tap on Mute or Vibrate.Press and Hold Power button until you will be shown with the device options.
- 2Your phone should automatically switch to Silent mode after that.Press and hold the Volume down.
- 3You should be shown with the notification panel icons, tap on Sound or Vibrate.Open the notification panel by sliding down from the top of the screen.
Tips Tricks & Warnings
- Excessive loud sounds may cause damage to your ears. Keep your volume at acceptable levels.
- When inserting a headphone or headset, volume will automatically adjust to a lower level to prevent your hearing from damage. You can readjust it to your preference after.
