Add or Reduce Video Noise in Photoshop CS6 Windows 7

You're watching VisiHow. In this video, we're going to show you how to add noise and reduce noise on a video clip in Photoshop CS6 on Windows 7.  As we can see, we've already got Photoshop open, and we've imported our video clip. We have a preview on the screen. # The layers are listed at the bottom of the panel at the right-hand side. We need to ensure that the clip we're working with has been converted to a smart object. We've shown how to do that in another video available on this website. It basically flattens the clip to one large frame rather than lots of individual ones, so we're limited to what we can do with it. However, we can apply a filter. # We can also select if it's going to be "Monochromatic", or black and white, or colorful, which again is quite a nice effect depending on the type of thing we're working with. # We can see now that it's colorful. When we make the "Amount" stronger, we can see there are reds, greens and blues in there as well, whereas before it was just a black and white image. [[Image:_reduce_video_noise_in_Photoshop_CS6_-_or_add_it.mp4-canvas100_479386.jpg|center]]
# Then press "OK" to apply the changes to our canvas. We can see now that it's quite a nice effect, and that will be there throughout the entire clip. [[Image:_reduce_video_noise_in_Photoshop_CS6_-_or_add_it.mp4-canvas109_225918.jpg|center]]

# We can also "Sharpen Details". The only one that made a dramatic difference is when we sharpened the details. If we haven't already added noise, like we did in this tutorial, we can see that it can smooth out the image quite dramatically.
