Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to set up a second time zone to use in the Calendar application on an HTC One M8.

To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button located on the top of the phone

Once the phone has been activated, we will see the Lock screen

To unlock the phone, swipe the screen upwards

Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the Home screen, and at the bottom of the screen, we will see several icons

We need to open the Applications folder, and to do that, we need the icon in the middle

It is a grid of small white dots.

Press down on this grid icon and it will open up our Applications folder

In this folder, we need to find the Calendar application

In this example, it is located at the top, and is the second icon from the left. It has an icon of a calendar, and it says the word "Calendar" underneath.

Press down on the "Calendar" icon, and it will open up the Calendar application for us

There are two ways to set up a second time zone to use in the Calendar application, but the simplest way is just to select a day. Once we set up a second time zone, it's going to feature it every single day in this application.

We'll be using the 18th in this demonstration. Now, the calendar will be focused on that particular day.

There is a timezone on the left-hand side of the screen

A blue line further down on the screen indicates the current time, which is just past 8:00 am. We want to add a second time zone. This is a very useful feature, especially if we are doing business abroad or in a different timezone. This will allow us to know when people are working, and to understand their time zone. Additionally, if we have friends in different time zones, and we want to know when to contact them, it can be useful. Adding a second time zone can be helpful as well if we are traveling abroad or in a different time zone, and we want to communicate with people back home. It is very helpful to quickly see what time it is there and what time it is back home.

What we can do to set up the second time zone is press the icon at the upper right-hand corner of the screen

This is the icon with three small white squares in a vertical line. Pressing down on this will open a menu.

We want the third option from the bottom that says, "Select 2nd time zone"

Let's type in London to use as an example

We can type in any location that we'd like, but we'll just use London for now.

Now, on the right-hand side of the screen, we have "LONDON", and it says "GMT + 1:00"

In London, displayed on the right-hand side of the screen, it is only 5:00 am
.
This is very useful, for example, if we want to schedule a meeting. If we wanted to schedule it at 9:00 am our time, we'd be able to see that it would only actually be 6:00 am in London, which is probably not the best time to have a meeting. It would help me to decide on the best time for both locations.

Now, that we've added the new time zone, it is going to feature it every day

If we swipe left or right to go to a different day, we'll still see both time zones.

To remove the time zone, we can go to the Settings menu by pressing the three white squares

Then press down on "Select 2nd time zone" from the menu that appears

Finally, select "None" at the top of the window to remove the additional time zones
