Add Mobile Phone Contact to Skype with Microsoft Lumia 535

Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to add a mobile phone contact to the Skype application when using a Microsoft Lumia 535.
Steps
- 1To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the right-hand side of the phone.
- 2Swipe the lock screen up, and this will take us to the home screen.Once the phone is activated, we'll see the lock screen.
- 3It has a blue background, and in the middle there is the Skype logo, which is a white circle with a blue "S" inside. If Skype has not been pinned to the home screen, then swipe left and find it in the "Apps" menu.On the home screen, we need to find the Skype tile.
- 4Once Skype has loaded, we want to show you in this video how to add a mobile phone contact to the Skype application. What this means is we might want to call or contact a friend who doesn't actually use Skype, or doesn't have the Skype video service. We'll still be able to phone them using the Skype application, but we'll phone them directly on their mobile phone as if we were calling any mobile number. The difference between that and calling them normally is that you're using the actual Skype application to phone them. It's like using a different phone service or a different company. Therefore, we may want to add a mobile phone number to a contact, or create a contact in this application that only has a mobile phone number.Once the Skype tile has been located, press down on it, and this will allow us to enter the application.
- 5It is three white dots in a row. This is the ellipsis, and if we press down on this, it's going to bring up some options.First, we need to press the icon at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
- 6This will bring up the option to add in the information.We want to tap on the third option from the top, "add number", in white letters.
- 7First, we can enter a name.Tap on a checkbox to type information.
- 8Then tap to select the next box, "Select country/region".
- 9Scroll through the list and tap on a country to choose it.
- 10Tap on the text box below "Enter number" to bring up a number keypad to enter the phone number.
- 11To leave any of the text boxes, just touch a place on the screen where there is nothing.
- 12Tap on the box below "Phone number type" to choose whether the phone number is "Home", "Mobile", "Office" or "Other".
- 13It is the icon on the left located within the big blue rectangle that extends across the screen. It is a white circle with a white checkmark in it.When satisfied with the options, we can press the checkmark icon at the bottom of the screen.
- 14To delete what we have just done and start over, just press the other icon on the right, the x inside the white circle.
- 15Even though they are not actually on Skype, or they are not using the Skype application, we still will be able to call them through our Skype application.Now, the information has been added, and a profile has been created with that person's name and number.
