Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to add an email account to an HTC One M8.

To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button located on the top of the phone

Once the phone has been activated, we will see the Lock screen

To unlock the phone, swipe the screen upwards

Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the Home screen, and at the bottom of the screen, we will see several icons

We now need to find the Settings menu, and to do that, we need to swipe the Notification panel down.

To open the Notification panel, start at the top of the screen, and swipe downwards

Now, we can see that the Notification panel has appeared

We are looking for the icon at the top right-hand corner of the screen

It is a white cog icon. This is our Settings icon.

Press down on this icon, and it will open up the "Settings" menu

Now, let's scroll down to the "PERSONAL" section, as indicated by the word "PERSONAL" in the gray bar

In this section, we are looking for the second option, which says "Accounts & sync"

Press down on this option, and it will take us into that menu

Press the white plus sign at the top of the screen

It is located in the black area and is the second icon from the right corner. Then it will allow us to add an account.

Since we want to add an email account, we need to choose "Mail"

Next to the word "Mail" is an icon of an envelope. Press down on that option.

We first need to type in an email address, so do that using the keyboard

As we can see, we have a notification at the top left corner of the screen, which is indicated by an envelope

If we swipe down the Notification panel, we can see that it is showing us we have "1 new email", and it shows the email address of the account we just added
.
It has synced our email account with the HTC One M8. When we receive emails to that account, we'll be able to receive notifications directly to our phone. We can also directly access that new email account as well by just pressing down either on the notification, or by entering the Mail application as well.
