Windows Lumia 520. WhatsApp not working?
Hi! I have been successfully using WhatsApp on my Lumia until WhatsApp said it needed to update. Since then it hasn't allowed access to WhatsApp. I have removed and tried to reinstall but it keeps failing to even start downloading and comes up with the error message can't connect to the store now. I can install other apps from the store though.
There might be several causes to that.
- The software was removed from Store temporarily to be re-uploaded by the developer. It happened in 2014. Maybe there were such episodes in 2016.
- Region-related problems. Press the home button. Swipe left. Tap on "settings" > "language+region". Set the region to another country and restart the smartphone. Then, set your region back to your own country and restart the device again. Go back into Store and download WhatsApp.
- Software-related problems. Hard-reset your Lumia. Power down your smartphone. Press and hold the power button until the smartphone vibrates. Press and hold the volume-down button until an exclamation mark appears. Afterwards, press the following sequence of buttons: volume-up, volume-down, power, and volume-down. The smartphone will be reset.
