You're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to view the word count in Corel WordPerfect.
First of all, let's go ahead and open up Corel WordPerfect by double-clicking the icon. We wait for it to load.
When the program loads, we need to either type something in the document or simply open a document. Let's go ahead and open a document. Click on the folder icon.
We locate the folder. In this case, we have our document on the "Local Disk (D:)".
Once in "Local Disk (D:)", we will click our document.
Then, click "Open". The file will be opened.
Now, we can view the word count by clicking "<Count>" in the lower-right corner of the document.
In the same place, you will see the number of the words. In this case, we have 4.767 words.
To be more precise and view additional info, we need to click "File". It is located on the upper-left corner of the document.
Then, we need to click "Properties..."
Once in "Properties...", we need to click the "Word Count" tab. We will get all the info. In this case, we have 30,942 characters, 4,767 words, 663 sentences, 642 lines, 165 paragraphs, and 15 pages. We also have the average word length, which, in this case, is 6; average words per sentence, which is 7; and maximum words per sentence, which is 40.
Also, you can check or uncheck additional subjects, such as including "Headers", "Footers", "Comments", and so on. In our case we don't have any of these in this document, but if you want to exclude any of these, you need to simply uncheck them.
If you want to include some of "Footnotes" or any other additional subjects, check them.
Then, click "Update" again.
