Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to view a map showing the locations of the photos in the Gallery application on an HTC One M8.

Steps

To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button located on the top of the phone
.
Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen.

To unlock the phone, swipe the screen upwards

Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the home screen and at the bottom we will see these icons here.

We need the icon at the bottom of the home screen, in the middle
.
It looks like a grid of white dots. This is the icon for the applications folder. Press down on it and it will open up our folder.

We now need to find the Gallery application
.
It is located here. We can see that there is an icon of a photo and the photo looks like some yellow sand dunes. Underneath, it says the word, "Gallery". Press down on this icon and it will open up the Gallery application.

In order to view this map, we need to make sure that we are in the "Locations" section
.
We can see in the top left-hand corner of the screen that we are currently in the "Locations" section.

If we weren't, then we could press down on this icon here

There are three horizontal gray lines. Press down on this icon and it will open up our options.

Here, we can select the "Locations" section

This is located here. Press down on the word "Locations" and that will take us to a new section.

Now, in the top right-hand corner of the screen, we can see that there is an icon that looks like a map
.
Press down on it and this will open up a map. It's going to show us all of the locations of our photos.

We will see pins here and they are locations for our photos
.
We don't have very many because we haven't been very busy with our camera but if we've been travelling around and we've been taking lots of photos, we will see pins everywhere all over the world if we have been fortunate enough to travel around the world.

We can zoom in as close as we'd like
.
If we've just been in one city taking lots of photos, then we'll have lots of pins there as well. We'll have pins all around the city and we'll be able to press down on the pins to see the individual photos for those locations.

If we zoom in even more, we can see that we've been taking photos in this one specific area

If we press down on the pin, we can see that it says the number three to indicate that there are three photos in this pin

If we press down on it, it's going to show us those photos

This is a great way of viewing photos by locations.
