Steps

    To begin, we should unlock the phone by pressing the lock button on the side or the home button at the bottom.

    Swipe right and enter the Passcode or use the fingerprint scanner.

    Find the Kik application. Tap it once to open. It will take us to the screen with a list of our chats.

    Tap on the cog in the top left-hand corner.

    In the new menu tap on "Help & About Us," which is next to a purple square with a question mark.

    The Kik application Help Center loads through Safari. We can see that the Help Center is divided into several different sections. Depending on if we are using a "BlackBerry," iPhone, if we need help "Getting Started," or want to explore frequently asked questions, tap on the bar choice to be taken to more specifically asked questions about the topic. This example uses frequently asked questions "FAQs."

    We can see that it brings up an answer with the title and a very brief overview.

    Tapping on any blue words links us to a new page.

    Go back to previous pages by pressing the arrow in the bottom left-hand corner.

    The arrow pointing to the right takes us to the page we were just on.

    We can continue to browse the Help Center as we like or press the home button.

Kik codes can be generated within the application and shown from the phone or printed and used as an advertisement. For example, you meet your old friend in the streets who

  • launches the Kik application;
  • swipes down from the top of his or her main chat list;
  • taps on the code circular icon at the bottom;
  • tap on the share icon in the top-right corner.

You will see a round Kik code. Now, you are ready to scan it.
