You're watching VisiHow. In this video, we're going to show you where to view history on Photoshop CS6 on Windows 7.

   We already have documents open in our demonstration, and these documents have multiple layers

   .

   We've also done a few things to our documents in order to create some history. If we had not done that, there would be nothing to see. Once a document is open, which is demonstrated in another tutorial on this website, and we've tried to manipulated things, the history is quite useful for stepping back to a certain point.

   Go up to the top right-hand corner of the main window, but just to the left of the right side panel

   Click on that icon to bring up the document "History"

   We can see the layer at the top

   Then we can scroll down to see the different things we've done within this layer while it has been open

   It includes any movement as well, which is very useful because it's easy to step back to that particular movement through this element of Photoshop

   We can also delete some history as well just by clicking on that icon at the bottom

   To hide the history, just press the double arrow pointing to the right at the top
