Use the YouTube Music App for Android

Edited by Jay

It's no secret that millions of users around the world use the YouTube app to listen to music. In fact, some people use YouTube to listen to music exclusively, which is why Google created an app tailored specifically for listening to music. The standard YouTube site/app works just fine for listening to music of course. However, the YouTube music app is specifically designed to make the music listening experience far more enjoyable.

One of the significant improvements over the standard YouTube app for Android is the ability to search and stream only music-based videos. This is a huge time saver because the original YouTube app will populate results for all types of videos when a search query is entered. Instead of having to filter through the results, looking for music-related videos manually, YouTube's Music app takes care of this for the user. Search results are listed by; songs, albums, videos, playlists, and artists. The YouTube Music app was redesigned in May of this year, with improvements made to recommendations, which make use of Google's AI and algorithm technology.
