Use the Notification and Quick Setting Panel on Samsung Galaxy Tab

"The notification and quick panel setting" displays alerts, messages and other information. It also provides an immediate shortcut to your Tablet's settings. The "Notification Panel" or "Quick Panel" is located at the top of your Tablet's screen.
From the top of the screen, just slide your finger downward to see all the notifications.
To activate any feature, just touch or tap an icon.
To remove a notification, just touch the notification, or if you want to clear all the notifications, touch "Clear".
To set the brightness, just drag the slider to left to decrease the brightness or right to increase the brightness.

- If the WiFi icon is green, it means you are connected to the internet. To enable or disable the internet connection, just touch the
Bluetooth - It is a technology that can be used to exchange information within a short distance. Press the "Bluetooth" icon to enable or disable this feature.
Standalone GPS Service - It allows you to access to all location information by a third party through any software, or through web access. To activate this feature, just tap the
Sound Mode - You can use this to enable to disable the "Silent Mode".
Status Bar Icons and Other Details
This icon means that the 3G connection is available on your device.
This means that your device has a 3G connection active.
This shows the signal strength on your device. If it has a full bar, it means that it has a strong signal.
This is the "Roaming" icon. It becomes active if your device is outside the home coverage area.
This means that the "Airplane Mode" is active and all the wireless communications are turned off or disabled.
This is the system alert. You need to check the "Notification Panel" to see the alerts.
This is the "Location On" icon. It will appear when the location service is active.
When this icon appears, it means that your Tablet is connected to a Laptop or personal computer using USB cable.
This icon means that your device is fully charged.
When this icon appears, it means that the power of your battery is only three percent. You need to charge it immediately.
This icon will appear when your device is charging.
This icon means that you have received a new message.
This means that you have a new email message.
This icon tells you that the "Alarm mode" is set and active.
This means that your Tablet is in "Silent Mode" or "Mute".
This icon tells you that your Tablet is in silent mode and vibrate mode.
You will see this icon if you installed a memory card on your Tablet.
This icon tells you that the memory card or SD card was uninstalled.
- Always make sure that the "Bluetooth" is turned off or disabled when not in use to prolong the battery power of your device.
