Hello you are watching VisiHow. My name is Kara and in today's video, I will show you how to use the calculator on an iPhone 4S.
Steps
1
This is what we do - we slide to unlock first to access our Home screen with all the applications
.
2
We go to the Calculator icon which is the orange and gray Calculator buttons
.
3
4
And here it is - a very simple and basic calculator that we would be using on a daily basis to do very simple operations
.
5
If you are a professional mathematician or if you are a student and you need a professional and complicated calculator, this is what you do
.
It's a simple trick with iPhones. You just take your phone and turn it horizontally. It gives a whole additional options that you would be using in advanced math tasks.
6
It allows you to count sinus, cosinus, tangent and do all the tasks that you would not be regularly doing or a regular person would not be using on daily basis
.
7
To go back to the simple and general calculator, you just turn your phone back
.
8
Now, here is a trick with calculator
:
if your phone is locked on a portrait orientation, basically the vertical position, and you go to Calculator and turn it, it's not going to work.
9
In order to access the complicated calculator
.
You have to unlock the portrait orientation off so that the horizontal would be working as well.
10
You just slide your finger to, open the bottom menu, from the bottom to the top.
11
This is the orientation button - very right button
.
Tap to turn it on and Off. It is just a lock with a circle arrow around it. Tap to lock and unlock .
12
When it is unlocked you can access the big calculator
.
13
Go back to the simple one
.
14
This is how the Calculator, on iPhone 4S, works
.
15
16
17
You can do simple tasks like, 200 plus 89, divided by two, minus 56, times 63 - here it is
.
