Use the Calculator on Samsung Galaxy

You are watching VisiHow. Today, we are going to show you how to basic calculator functions and transition to the advanced calculator functions of the Samsung Galaxy S5. To get started with, press the power button or the lock button on your Samsung Galaxy S5.

    Then, slide across the screen which will open up your locked screen.

    Alternatively, you may need to enter in a PIN number or other password. Once you've done this, you should be on the home screen of your device. Then, go down to the bottom right-hand side, and press on the apps button one time.

    When you press the apps button, it will open up the applications menu, the applications folder, where all of your applications are stored. You should see an icon that looks like this.

    This is for the calculator. It's a series of plus, minus, division and multiplication symbols within a green box. When you find that option, simply press it one time. Pressing it one time will open up the calculator.

    On the calculator menu, you'll note that you can press your numbers as necessary. You can clear them. You have the division, multiplication, subtraction, addition, parenthesis, you have the ability to add positives or negatives to numbers, and additionally, decimal sign, equals sign and a backspace.

    However, for those of you who require more advanced calculator functions, you can simply take your Samsung Galaxy S5, and you can turn it on its side. Once you've turned it on its side, you'll note that I now have cosign functions, and much higher level math functions that most people don't know how to use. However, since you are looking for a scientific calculator, you will probably know how they function. In order to use these functions, simply enter numbers as you normally would, and then you can proceed through performing more advanced mathematical functions.

    When you are finished, you can turn the calculator back up, and still have the primary functions.

    And you still have your more advanced functions; in the event that you are wanting to perform just briefly more advanced calculations, then you can just switch back to the main calculator. The main screen is particularly useful if you have poor eyesight and you need something larger. As always, you can use the back button, and simply delete what you put in if you are not happy with it.

How to calculate arctan of an angle?

The basic calculator can enable you to calculate tan of an angle, but I want to calculate the angle knowing the gradient or fraction i.e. rise over run. I have tried: Nothing, cannot find an ATan function. I think it was caused by: Don't know.
