Questions and Answers
How to enable editing in the Samsung Galaxy S5's System Settings?
My Samsung Galaxy S5's System Settings application does not have an edit option.
All Samsung Galaxy S5s have the Edit quick settings option in the Settings application. If you are unable to find it, you will need to troubleshoot your device. First, restart your Samsung Galaxy S5. Once your phone is restarted, open the Samsung Galaxy S5's Settings application again and follow the instructions in the great VisiHow how-to article above. If you're still unable to access your Samsung Galaxy S5's quick settings editing feature, follow these instructions:
- 1Restart your phone.
- 2Unlock it to be taken to the home screen.
- 3Tap the Apps icon, which looks like a grid and is located in the lower left-hand corner of your display.
- 4Scroll to and tap on the Settings icon.
- 5Navigate to and tap on Notification panel.
- 6You will now see all of the available buttons for your phone's quick settings.
- 7Tap and hold an icon and drag it to the Active Buttons section.
Your Samsung Galaxy S5's quick settings buttons will now be replaced with whichever buttons you choose.
Not sure if my problem is with the Quick Settings, but my (back) button is no longer working and I used to have a pop up menu on my screen where I can use a back button and some other functions. I no longer can see it now, and not sure how to find it again , please help
With the latest update, if there is no back feature then you press the Home button.
Quick panel disappears when slides downwards?
My quick panel has disappeared completely. When I slide it downwards I don't see my quick panel. How will I restore it ?. I think it was caused by: Some apps
Samsung has released an app from within their Samsung Apps Store called QuickPanel Restore. Many of the Galaxy phones lost their Quick Settings with the latest update. This app allows you to restore your Quick Panel. If it fails then a complete hard reset will restore the Quick Panel but you will lose data and apps that are not backed up.
How do I enable auto screen rotation on my Galaxy S5 running Android Marshmallow software?
How do I enable auto screen rotation on my Galaxy S5 running Android Marshmallow software?. I have tried: Looking for a setting in the settings menu, can't find one.. I think it was caused by: Upgrading to Marshmallow.
You will see in this YouTube Tutorial how to enable/disable auto screen rotation on the Galaxy S5.
I need to add standard data icon to quick access?
I need to add standard data icon to quick access, I have already followed every steps, but without success. I have tried: I have accessed settings, pressed more option button, chose the data usage to add in quick access. I think it was caused by: Don't know
Is your Quick Setting tray full from other apps in Quick Settings? Remove one or two and then try to add. If the icon will still not save in Quick Settings then it is not a viable option because it is a sub menu after the Marshmallow update on devices.
I am unable to connect to the internet except through WiFi?
Hi Walokaby, My name is John. I recently bought a new unlocked Galaxy S5 phone. The phone works fine, as do texts and Internet when I am using my home WiFi. My phone plan is with Roam Mobility which uses T-Mobile as its carrier. I seem unable to tweak it to do this using settings. Under 'More networks' I have 'Nearby device scanning' on and under 'Mobile networks/Mobile data' both 'Enable mobile data services...' and 'Enhanced LTE Services' are checked. I don't see the button for 'mobile data' on the apps screen although most others are there. I have tried: I think I answered this question earlier. Notably I have gone to the app settings and tried to implement your recommendations as far as I could. I think it was caused by: My phone settings seem somewhat different than you have shown.

My Galaxy Ace 4 screen won't time out, what can I do?
Unless I turn it off with the power button, it will stay on and use all the battery, any time I receive a message it switches on until I turn it off. Stay awake is off. I reset to factory settings last week because memory was full, not sure if the problem started then, but it 's been going on for several days. One forum suggested looking at system panel to see what is running, I got to your page trying to find out where system panel is. Thanks
