Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we're going to show you how to use word flow tracing and shape writing on a Microsoft Lumia 535.
To begin the process, we're going to turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the right-hand side of the phone. Press that to activate the phone to get things going.
Now, we're going to need to swipe up onto the home screen.
On the home screen, we just need the keyboard. We're going to talk about word flow tracing and shape writing. This is a form of writing messages or writing using the keypad we'll say. We will need to look for the message icon.
Press the message icon and open up the message application.
I want to press "+" because I want to send a message. We have the keyboard here.
Word flow tracing and shape writing means connecting letters without actually pressing each one individually. What we're going to do is we're going to glide our finger across the keypad over letters that we want to use. For example, if I want to write "hello", I'm not going to press H-E-L-L-O. I'm just going to press "h" and then I'm going to just glide my finger over.
As you can see, it's got the answer right. It's not a surprise and it's not a trick.
We'll go down to the actual message. I'm going to write a little sentence, starting with "h". I'm just going to glide my finger over. We see "how", so yes, that's what I want.
Then I will press the space button. Then I want "are". So I will start with "a" and slide my finger. So now "How are..."
Now I have gotten to "How are you...". So I will start the word "today".
So it's given me the right answer every time, and also it's given me a list of words that have similar letters that are in a similar order as well. This is because it knows which direction I have lingered my finger.
This is a gliding process that allows you to write quite simply. There will always be mistakes. You may want to check in the end, but it can be a way to just type very quickly.
Let's say "I am tired" now. So it's managed to get it just right every time.
This concludes our tutorial on how to use world flow tracing and shape writing on a Microsoft Lumia 535.
