Enable split window view in Skype on your Windows 10 computer to keep all your conversations separated nicely. Previously, all your Skype conversations got docked inside the single, primary program window. To jump between chats, double-clicking on the contact was necessary.

With Skype's split window view, it's far less likely you'll send a message to the wrong contact. You don't want to accidentally send your co-workers a message intended for your significant other, embarrassing much?

Type Skype into Windows' Start Menu search, select Skype at the top, then select Open.

Select the Sign in or create button.
Enter your account credentials to log in.

Once signed in, select the horizontal ellipsis menu in the upper right corner, then select Enable split view mode.

You can drag, move, and resize each chat window in any way you wish.

To quickly maximize one of your chats, select Skype from the taskbar, then select the chat you wish to open.
