Use Speedlite with Canon T4i
Edited by Djinu, VisiHow, Eng, Visihow Admin
You're watching VisiHow. In the previous tutorial, we mounted the Speedlite flash onto Canon T4i. In this video, we're going to show how to take a photo using your Canon Speedlite 430EX II and the Canon T4i (650D) camera.
First, make sure Speedlite is turned on by moving the switch to the "ON" position. Alternatively, turn it off and then back on.
Then, set the mode dial to "Scene Intelligent Auto".
Now, half-press the shutter-release button to focus on an object.
Then, full-press the shutter-release button to take a photo.
You can also change the direction of the flash by moving the top part of Speedlite. To move the flash, press and hold the little button on its right side.
You can also move the flash down, up, right, or left and rotate it.
Direct the flash straight at the object and take a photo. You can see that the flash is harsher than in the previous picture.
You can also try to bounce the flash off the left wall by moving the flash left.
Then, take a picture again.
Now, bounce the flash off the right wall by moving the flash right.
That was how to use your Canon Speedlite 430EX II and the Canon T4i camera. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them in the space below. Thank you for watching VisiHow!
