   To begin, ensure that you have Adobe Illustrator open and a document ready

   Click "Selection Tool"

   The "Selection Tool" icon is a black arrow in the top-left corner of the vertical toolbar. You can also use other selection tools if you have more complicated objects. There are other VisiHow tutorials on how to do that.

   Now, click the yellow rectangle to select it

   You can adjust the first option, "Size"

   .

   This option will adjust the size of the rough edges. You can see that this changes the shape quite dramatically as you move the scroller. To change the size, click and drag the scroller, click somewhere along the scroller line, or type a percentage in the small box on the right side.

    You can also click either "Relative" and "Absolute"

    "Absolute" is more subtle; so, change these settings according to your preference.

    This setting alters how many edges there will be around your shape.
