From your unlocked home screen, click on the "Maps" icon

You can move around on the map by clicking and dragging in the direction you want to move

If you need to zoom in on an area, place two fingers on the screen and spread them apart

Zoom out by moving your fingers back together

If you would like to change the direction North is on the map, take two fingers and rotate them until you reach your desired viewing angle

Now, we can see that the direction North is pointing to the left hand side on the phone
.
If you want to change the direction so that North is pointing up again, tap on the compass icon at the top right corner of the screen.

You can also change the angle of the map by moving two fingers up or down on the screen
.
Moving up will give you more of a bird's eye view of the map, as if you are flying in an airplane. Moving two fingers down on the screen will change the view so that you are looking directly overhead, as opposed to at an angle.

To find your current location, tap on the arrow icon

The arrow icon is located in the lower left corner of the screen. The arrow will be highlighted in blue, and your current location will be centered on the map. Then, you will be able to zoom in on the location.
