Use Google Keep in Samsung Galaxy S5

Welcome to VisiHow. Today we are going to show you, how to use the Google Keep application, on your Samsung Galaxy S5.
Steps
- 1To Start with, we are going to press on the Lock screen button at the right side of the phone.
- 2We are going to enter our pattern or pin code, or just swipe across the screen.
- 3That is going to open up our phone, and it's going to take us to the home screen.
- 4On the home screen, you should see an icon for the Google Keep application; it looks like an orange piece of paper, with a white light bulb on it.
- 5If you don't see that icon, then you need to go down to the Apps section below, and at the bottom right hand side, you will see the white check board icon, the Apps, just tap that one time.
- 6It will open up your application folder.
- 7Swipe through the applications until you find Google Keep icon.
- 8Tap the icon one time, to get Google Keep open.
- 9Now, you will see the Google keep has been opened, and you will be given a number of options.
- 10What is new and really fantastic in Keep, is that you can create a note and easily share it with anyone else who is on Google. That means your new wife, or your new team mate. If you're sharing a Google account with anyone, you can create a note, and he could interact and access that note. That eliminates multiple layers of technology; Google takes care of everything for you.On top, you will see the information about what's new in Keep.
- 11Once you get things done, you get your checked boxes, on the a list, if you check it off; it moves down to end of the note.
- 12These are all the functions on Android, although you can use Google notes on other systems as well. What we want to do, we've got a number of options here, and first of all, you've got the notes panel.Down on the note, you can archive what you've just swiped.
- 13Give that a tap, it's going to open it up, Notes, Reminders (reminding us about the notes), Archive (anything you've worked with), Trash (anything you've trashed), Help & Feedback.
- 14Here we've got search function, if you want to search for a particular note that you may have, you can do that.
- 15If you don't want to search, just tap that arrow, to go back.
- 16Tapping on the three Dots icon that is shown in the next photo.
- 17Gives us a menu, you can choose a single column, that's entirely up to you, if you prefer to have that setup that way or not.
- 18Start with the Camera.
- 19Take a photo with a camera, or choose an image from somewhere on your phone.If you want to add a camera to a note, take a picture, or choose an image, that simple.
- 20If you don't want to do that, simply tap back.
- 21Same thing goes for the Microphone.
- 22It allows you to record something that you want to say on a note.
- 23It's not exactly, what I want to say, but it's pretty good.For example I am talking now; this is my note, thanks.
- 24Let's go ahead and tab back.
- 25Adding some list items, like A.
- 26Adding list item B and C.
- 27If you want to remind yourself of it, tap on remind me.
- 28What do I want to be reminded of?
- 29On a time reminder.
- 30Let's say tomorrow morning.
- 31We can delete the note, make a copy, send it, Hide checked boxes, or change the list Settings.That's it for this note, we can tap here.
- 32We are going to tab on the List Settings, to change it, tap list settings on the top for new items, or at the bottom, if you want to go to checked items, stay in place, or move to the bottom, and if I do want to apply this to my new list, or just this list.
- 33Tapping on checked box A.So, you can change this according to your preference.
- 34It's checked off and moved to the bottom.
- 35Again checking the box C.
- 36C is now checked off and moved to the bottom.
- 37Let's tap on back button now.
- 38And tap here on the actual note list.
- 39Here you can create your title and a note.
- 40We are going to name them Title A, and note B.Same situation as before, remind me tomorrow, Time reminder, or Location reminder.
- 41Tomorrow morning, afternoon, evening, or night.
- 42Or you can Pick a time, of when you want to be reminded, let's go with Three O'clock, and done.
- 43Here we got tomorrow at three O'clock in the morning; I am going to be reminded by A and B.
- 44You can add people as well, to any of these notes, by taping on here.
- 45If you pick who you're going to share it with.
- 46Simply tap on the person, let's share it with myself.
- 47Save that, and it's now been shared with me.
- 48Look at that, Google Keep has crashed, hit on OK.Now we have our note A, B, let's tap here.
- 49Which we were working on earlier.
- 50We were in the process of sharing it.
- 51So, maybe it crashed because I share it with myself.
- 52Let's try that again.
- 53Tap on save, then tap the color here.
- 54Got a colored pallet here, you can change the note color.
- 55I will choose the orange color.
- 56The note will have the orange color.
- 57Same situation as before.
- 58We can have a picture and take pictures.
- 59Also we have the option to Archive the note.Tap on the menu above.
- 60Tap on Archive.
- 61There is my note archived.
- 62Tap on the note.
- 63Here is my note archived.If I am done with the note, I simply tap on here.
- 64It will open up a menu, and I can then delete my note.
- 65Now the note is deleted from the Archive.
- 66From the menu.
- 67Now it's going to be in my Trash.
- 68Here is my note.
- 69I can open it.
- 70I can tap on back.
- 71Again tap on the menu.
- 72And select Empty Trash.
- 73A confirmation message will appear to empty the Trash.
- 74Now the Trash is empty.
- 75Now back to the Notes.
- 76That's how to setup a note.
- 77From the menu, we can go to Reminders.
- 78You can see the reminders that we have here.
- 79Which is our check list.
- 80Item B, which is still needed to be done, I am going to delete the note, by tapping on the menu.
- 81Then tap on delete Note.
- 82Now, this note has been deleted, and it's no longer in our reminder.
- 83Just like the other notes, it's going to be in the Trash.
- 84I can simply tap on here.
- 85Tap on Empty Trash.
- 86Again tap on Empty Trash from the confirmation message.
- 87Back to the Notes.
- 88Now, no notes or reminders.
- 89Let's press the home button, to get back to our home screen.
