Edited by Freya, Rushell, Eng
You're watching VisiHow. Today, I'm going to show you how to use the Gear Tracker on the MapMyRun application on the iPhone 6.
Steps
1
To begin, we need to unlock the phone, which we can do by pressing the Lock button on the right side
.
2
The phone can be unlocked by pressing the Home button at the bottom of the screen as well
.
3
Swipe across the screen to enter a passcode, or simply press a finger to the Home button to use the fingerprint scanner
.
4
On the Home screen, we need to find the MapMyRun icon, which is blue and white with an image of a man running inside of a white circle
.
5
Tap once to open the app, and it should automatically take us to the screen where we can start recording a workout
.
6
We can see that we already have some gear added, which is indicated by the picture of a red shoe
.
Please refer to another video on this website where we explain exactly how to add gear onto the MapMyRun app.
7
For now, we'll tap on the three horizontal lines at the top left-hand corner of the screen
.
8
On the menu that pops out from the left, tap on "Gear Tracker"
.
There is an icon of a shoe next to this option on the left-hand side.
9
This will bring up a list of the different shoes and different gear that we've added
.
In this example, we have only added one type of gear and that's our Reebok cross-training shoes.
10
Tap on the picture of the shoe to view more details about it
.
11
For example, we can "Nickname"
.
12
We can change the "Start Date" if desired
.
13
At the bottom, we can press the various buttons to "Retire", "Delete", "Cancel", or "Save"
.
Maybe we want to retire this pair of shoes and not use them anymore, or we simply want to delete them. If we made some changes, such as the "Start Date", we can the press on "Save" to save the changes. This will return us to the previous screen.
14
On the "Gear Tracker" screen, the green bar moving along is showing us how much is left before the shoes will tire out
.
15
Go back by tapping on the three horizontal lines at the top left-hand corner
.
16
Then tap on "Record a Workout" at the top to return to where we began
.
17
This is a VisiHow video, and we've just shown you how to use the Gear Tracker on the MapMyRun application on the iPhone 6
.
