Use Bing Vision to Scan Text on Microsoft Lumia 535
Edited by Thor, Colette Cole, Eng, sabah
Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we're going to show you how to scan text using the Bing Vision application when using a Microsoft Lumia 535.
To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the right-hand corner of the phone.
Swipe the lock screen up to enter the home screen.
We need to use the Lumia Camera in order to scan the text. The tile is located here on my phone, on the home screen.
It may be located in a different position on your home screen. If it's not on your home screen, you'll have to swipe across to the left and go to the app menu and find it.
Once you've located Lumia Camera, press it to enter.
As we can see, the camera is now activated. Here are my fingers.
What we can now do is scan a document. First we need to enter the menu, which is located at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. It is the icon that has the 3 dots.
Press that icon to bring up the menu.
Here we have "lenses". This is what we want to press so press "lenses".
Here we see Bing Vision. We see the blue tile. We want to press that.
Right now, it is trying to scan the QR or Quick Response codes.
We're going to press "scan text". Once we put text in front of the camera, it's going to acknowledge that there is a text in front of it. That is why the "scan text" box has appeared.
You can see the information or text behind the camera. What we want to do is scan the text. So press that option.
Give it a minute. At the top, in white letters, it says, "finding text".
So you can see, it scanned the text. It's all there.
What we need to do now is to copy it. If we press the button with the 3 dots in a row, the ellipses to create the menu, we have the copy all option. We can press that.
Now the text we have scanned has been copied to our phone so now we are ready to do what we like with it. If we want to send it, if we want to use it, we want to create a document with it, if we want to translate it, whatever we want to do, we now have the possibility to edit it in our Microsoft Lumia 535.
This concludes our tutorial on how to scan text using the Bing Vision application when using a Microsoft Lumia 535. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions about this video then please leave them in the comments section below. You've been watching VisiHow. Goodbye!
