Although the world has become more digital with each passing year, there are still many real-life scenarios where physical documents are used. Valuable information such as; financial/tax, mortgage, medical, business cards, etc. continue to circulate, with no real end in sight. Of course, the option to receive digital documentation is offered by any significant business or institution, but in the event it isn't, or, you didn't opt-in for, it's nice to have the ability to scan documents with your mobile device.

Adobe Scan for Android is an excellent alternative to Google Assistant for scanning documents and saving them in PDF format. Offered for free on the Play Store (with in-app purchases), Adobe Scan allows users to sign in with either; Facebook, Google, or an Adobe account.

In the following tutorial, we're going to show how to; download and install Adobe Scan, scan various documents and access them in the cloud storage, as well as the app's preferences. For this guide, we used a Google Pixel running Android Oreo 8.1.0.
