Hello, you are watching VisiHow. In this video, I'll show you how to upload photos to the Instagram application if you have an iPhone 6.

Steps

  1. 1
First, go to Instagram, which is in the "Social Applications" folder
    .
It is a brown camera icon. As you can see, it took me to the search bar.

  2. 2
To upload photos to Instagram, tap the little blue square in the center of the bottom menu bar
    .
    Let's tap it.

You can either take a photo of yourself right now, or you can go to the camera roll, which is to the left of the shutter button
    .

  4. 4
Tap on the picture and choose a picture from your camera roll
    .
Let's load this one, which is amazing. It's a photo that I took today of a tree growing on the side of a building.

When you pick a photo, you can zoom out and zoom in, or you can move the picture around
    .
I would like to zoom out just a tiny bit. Tap "Next" to proceed with filters.

Choose a filter at the bottom of the screen
    .
There are three new filters that Instagram recently added, including "Lark" and "Reyes". They change the color and view of your picture. You can tap on each one of them to see how it looks, but the latest trend of Instagram is not applying any filters. If it is black and white, you cannot truly tell what it is. I would probably only add contrast to this photo and not apply any filters. I would select the "Normal" filter, which keeps the original color of the photo.

Add brightness or darken the photo with the slider
    .
To save the results, tap on the little check mark. If you want to go back to your original photo, tap on the "X". The icon on the far left takes you to back filters and color correcting.

  8. 8
Go to the wrench icon on the far right, which takes you to the next level of photo editing
    .
Let's go through them and see what they are. The first one is brightness. You can make it brighter or darker. In case you mess it up and don't want to keep it, just press "X".

  12. 12
    Tap "Fade"
    .
You can add or remove fade with the slider. Tap the check mark to save. Of course it's easier and faster to add filters, but when you edit pictures manually, it gives a whole different effect. You can add shadows.

    Tap "Tilt Shift"
    .
Tilt shift is one of my favorite options. It focuses on a part of the picture and makes the area around it blurry. You can choose something to focus on and move it around the screen. Originally it is a circle shape, but you can tap "Linear" and make it into a line. Tap "X" to go back, or tap the check mark to save.

  16. 16
Write a caption for your photo
    .
I would prefer to write one, because it makes the photo informative and it engages followers. You can add some smiles, hash tags or hearts. When you're finished with the description, tap "OK" on the upper right-hand side.

Add a location or tag people
    .
Tap "Name this location" and choose the location from the list. In order to share the picture, tap on "Share" on the bottom of the screen. In just a couple minutes, we'll see how many people have liked or disliked the photo.

How do I send an Instagram image on my iPhone 6 plus?

Thanks, My iPhone 6 plus doesn't seem to fit your description. No blue square at the bottom of the screen and the desktop app is multicolored, not brown. If I go to an image in my iPhone library there seems no way to send it on Instagram. I'm confused. Does it only work with photos that you take in Instagram? There is no blue square at the bottom of the screen and the Instagram app, on the home screen, is red and yellow, not brown.....

You will need to install an Android emulator on your computer. Follow our tutorials on how to download and install BlueStacks on your PC and how to set up a BlueStacks account. Instead of searching for and installing WhatsApp as shown in this tutorial, look for and install Instagram. This is the only way that you can upload pictures to Instagram from your computer.
