   To begin, let's unlock the phone by pressing the button on the top right-hand side

   On the home screen find the WhatsApp application

   It's a green conversational box with a telephone inside it.

   If the application is not loaded on the home screen, access it in the Apps menu on the bottom right-hand side

   It's a grey square with white boxes inside. Tap here once to be shown all the applications loaded on the mobile phone.

   Scroll through the list to find the WhatsApp icon

   While in the Applications menu we can press on the WhatsApp icon to open it.

   At the top of this application we can see three small icons

   :

   A magnifying glass that allows us to search for a conversation, a small white card provides a list of our contacts, and three horizontal dots gives us other options.

   Tap the three dots to access the options, "New group," "New broadcast," "WhatsApp Web," "Status," and "Settings." To change the status message, tap on "Status," the option that is second from the bottom

   This example currently has a status, but it will be changed

   In order to change this, tap the icon of the pencil to the right of the current status.

   Tap once and delete the old status

   Select a new status by typing a new one or selecting an emoticon.

    Once the status entry is complete, press "OK" and it will automatically update the status

    This status currently says "Busy."

    To go back to all of our conversations tap the back arrow next to the word Status at the top left

    Press the bottom button on the phone once to completely close out this application and our conversation
