- 7From the home screen, tap the Applications icon at the bottom of the screen, in the middle. This will bring up the Apps menu. Tap the Settings icon, which appears as a gear symbol, to open the Settings menu. Scroll down and tap "Storage" to open the Storage settings.An alternative method of accessing the Storage settings is to access Settings through the Apps menu.

- 14If you are concerned that there are encrypted files on the SD card that cannot be accessed and are therefore no longer needed, it is recommended that you format the SD card. This will erase all of the files on the SD card.
