Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to turn on and off the option for Facebook to send you notifications from apps that you have on your HTC One M8.

   To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on top of the phone

   .

   Once the phone has been activated we will see the lock screen.

   To unlock the phone, swipe the screen up

   Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see 5 icons. We now need to open the application folder.

   We can do that by tapping the icon in the middle, at the bottom of the screen

   There is a grid of white dots. This is the icon for the applications folder.

   Now that the folder has been opened, we need to find and tap the Facebook application

   There is a Facebook icon, which is a blue background with a white "f" inside, and underneath it says the word "Facebook". Your application may be in a different location, so look for the icon in your folder.

   We now need to tap on the menu icon in the top right-hand corner to find the account settings menu

   There are three gray horizontal lines. They're very faint, but we can see them.

   Scroll up or down to find "Account Settings", and tap on it

   There will be a gray circle with a white head and shoulders and gear inside. This will open up the account settings menu.

   Tap on the "Notifications" option

   We want the option at the bottom labeled "Notifications from apps"

   Here we will see a list of apps that are connected with Facebook, and we will see that there is a blue check mark next to both of these apps, in this example. This means that we will receive notifications from these apps. You will see different applications here because you'll have different applications installed and connect to Facebook.

   If we want to stop receiving notifications from any of these applications, we can press down on them until the blue check mark disappears
