Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. In this tutorial, we are going to show you how to turn on and turn off the notification light using the Twitter application on the HTC One M8.

   To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the top of the phone

   .

   Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen.

   To unlock the phone, swipe the screen upwards

   Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the home screen and multiple icons at the bottom. It is one of these icons that we will access to open up the applications folder.

   Tap the icon that looks like a grid of white dots, that is located at the bottom of the screen in the middle to open the applications folder

   Find the Twitter application, and tap on it once to open the application

   .

   The Twitter application has a blue background with a white bird on it, with the word "Twitter" underneath it. Your Twitter application may be in a different position in this folder, therefore you will need to find it.

   First tap on the three vertical white dots icon located in the top-right corner of the screen

   Tap on "Settings", which is the final option in the list

   Tap on your username, which is the second option on the list

   In this example, it's showing our username "@visihowl", but on your phone it will be showing your username.

   Tap on "Mobile notifications", which is the first option on the list

   Scroll down and tap on the box to the right of "Notification light" which is the final option to add or remove a check mark indicating that the option has been enabled or disabled

   .

   If this option is activated and the box is blue with a white check mark inside, we will see a pulsing light when we receive notifications from Twitter. This takes up battery power and might not be necessary if we have a notification sound. If we want to deactivate the option, we will tap on the box to remove the white check mark, indicating that the option has been deactivated and we will not see the notification light.
