Edited by Thor, Crystal, Jen M
Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to turn on and off the option for an HTC One M8 to vibrate when receiving notifications from Twitter.
Steps
1
To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on top of the phone
.
Once the phone has been activated we will see the lock screen.
2
To unlock the phone, swipe the screen up
.
Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see 5 icons. We now need to open the application folder.
3
We can do that by tapping the icon in the middle, at the bottom of the screen
.
There is a grid of white dots. This is the icon for the applications folder.
4
Now that the folder has been opened, we need to find and tap the Twitter application
.
There is a Twitter icon, which is a blue background with a white bird on tap, and underneath it says the word "Twitter". Your application may be in a different location, so look for the icon in your folder. Now we need to find the settings menu.
5
To do that, tap on the 3 vertical dots in the top right-hand corner of the screen
.
This will open a menu.
6
We want the option at the bottom, "Settings"
.
7
Tap on the second option, which is the registered username for this application
.
In this case, it says "visihowl".
8
We want to tap the first option at the top which says "Mobile notifications"
.
9
Scroll down and tap on the "Vibrate" option
.
Underneath it says "Vibrate on incoming notifications". This option is currently activated, indicated by the blue box with the white check mark inside. That means that every time we receive a notification on Twitter, our HTC One M8 will vibrate.
10
If we don't want to the phone to vibrate when we receive notifications from Twitter, we can press down on the box until it is empty
.
If the box is empty, the option is deactivated.
11
However, if we do want the phone to vibrate when we have notifications from Twitter, we can press down on the box until it's blue with a white check mark inside
.
That indicates that the option is activated.
12
This concludes the tutorial on how to turn and off the option for an HTC One M8 to vibrate when receiving notifications from Twitter
.
