Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to turn on and off the option to receive tweet notifications from a particular account on Twitter on an HTC One M8.

   To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on top of the phone

   Once the phone has been activated we will see the lock screen.

   To unlock the phone, swipe the screen up

   Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see 5 icons. We now need to open the application folder.

   We can do that by tapping the icon in the middle, at the bottom of the screen

   There is a grid of white dots. This is the icon for the applications folder.

   Now that the folder has been opened, we need to find and tap the Twitter application

   .

   There is a Twitter icon, which is a blue background with a white bird on tap, and underneath it says the word "Twitter". Your application may be in a different location, so look for the icon in your folder. We want to demonstrate how to turn on and off the option to receive tweet notifications from a particular account. It is important to note that we must be following this account. We now need to find an account that we're following.

   To do that, we should first tap the icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen

   There are 3 small white dots in a vertical line. This will open a menu.

   We want to tap on the first option which is the username and profile photo associated with the application

   In this case, it's "visihowl". This will open up the profile page.

   We want to tap the option that says "FOLLOWING" with the number of people we are following next to it

   Tap on the person we want to turn on or off notifications for

   Tap on the star icon near the top, next to the blue head and shoulders that shows that we are following them

   The star will be gray if we are not receiving notifications. Once we tap on the star, it will turn yellow and at the bottom it will say "You will now receive notifications when (name) tweets". Now every time that this account tweets, we will receive a notification.

    To turn notifications off, press down on the star icon again

    A confirmation will appear.

    Tap "OK"

    It says, "Turn off Tweet notifications". "You will stop receiving notifications when (name) tweets". The star will then turn gray again. We can follow this procedure for everyone we follow.
