Enable dark mode in Android 10 by selecting the dark theme option from the settings app. Dark mode is also automatically enabled when the battery saver feature is turned on.

Android Q's dark theme applies to the full system UI, s well as any supporting applications. Dark mode significantly reduces stress on the eyes from prolonged blue-light exposure and makes it easier to see in low-light environments. When Android's dark theme is enabled, your device's battery usage will drop quite a bit. The majority of battery drainage is due to your device's display.

In the following Visi tutorial, we'll cover how to switch back and forth between Android's dark and light themes.

For this guide, we used a Google Pixel running Android 10.

For iOS 13 users, check out our dark mode post.
