The Galaxy Note2 by Samsung is loved by many because it's a smartphone and Tablet in one small package. For people who want a cellphone that's convenient to carry everywhere and a Tablet that's easily accessible, the Samsung Galaxy Note2 is definitely a good option. Among the best features of this Tablet is its WiFi hotspot, which lets you share your Note2 internet connection with several devices at the same time. Instead of using your Tablet to serve as a modem (and connecting it to other gadgets via Bluetooth or a USB cable for tethering), you can use your Samsung Galaxy Note2 WiFi hotspot feature to wirelessly connect other devices to for internet access anywhere there's an available cellular signal. But, how do you turn your Note II into a WiFi hotspot? Here's how:

Questions and Answers

There is no configure portable WiFi Hotspot option on my phone's settings

Not all phones have this function. The reason may be due to your Network Provider's restriction to share data from your phone to other devices.

You can try to download an application instead, one that is specifically designed to make a hotspot on your mobile to share your internet connection.

You can search in the Play Store for the FoxFi application and PDANet+. These applications work the same way as regular settings on Android phone to set a Hotspot on your phone. However, you are only using a limited feature of the application.

Both applications have limited usage. PDANet+ has 50Mb limit that you can share at a time, then you need to reset and start over.

If you prefer to limit your connection to other device/s, you can continue or you can pay for the full version of the application, as the full version has no limits.
