Steps

Press the power button on the right side of the phone to turn the phone on and display the lock screen

Swipe the lock screen up to unlock the phone and display the home screen

Find and tap the Skype tile to open the Skype application

The tile appears as a white circle with a blue "S" inside, on a blue background. If Skype is not pinned to the home screen, swipe right to left to open the App menu. Tap "Skype" to open the Skype application.

Tap the menu icon in the bottom right corner of the screen to open the options menu

The menu icon appears as an ellipsis, or three dots.

Tap "settings" to open the application settings

Look for the "Location access" setting, third from the top, to determine if it is on or off
.
If the setting is turned on, Skype will be able to get the location of the phone and add it to the current profile so other contacts will know where you are.

Swipe the switch next to the "Location access" setting from left to right to turn it on

The setting is on if the switch is blue.

Swipe the switch next to the "Location access" setting from right to left to turn it off

The setting is off if the switch is gray.
