Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to turn the power saving function On or Off when using an HTC One M8.

   To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the 'Power' button located on top of the phone

   To unlock the phone, press down on the screen, hold and swipe up

   Once the phone has been unlocked, we will be taken to the home screen.

   Now, we need to find the 'Settings' menu

   To do that, we need to swipe down the notification panel. To do that, press down at the top of the screen until you see the icon and swipe down to bring up the notification panel.

   Press down on the white cog icon in the top right-hand corner

   This is the 'Settings' icon. Press down on it, and it will open up the 'Settings' menu.

   Swipe or scroll down until you reach the 'Power' section

   It will have an icon of a battery next to it, with an electrical symbol inside of it, which is a lightning bolt. Press down on the word 'Power'.

   We can see the first option at the top, 'Power saver'

   We want to turn this On or Off. Right now, you can see that it is turned 'Off'. It says here in the box on the right-hand side of the screen, it says 'Off', and it's gray.

   Press down on the box to turn it 'On'

   You can see it's in bold, and it has a green section. You might have also noticed that the screen just darkened. It means the brightness has been reduced in order to save the battery.

   Press down on the button again to turn it 'Off', and you can see that the screen gets brighter

   We can try to save as much battery life as possible, but without stopping any applications or without being too serious. If you press down on this, it says, "Optimize battery life." It's going to make some changes to make your battery life longer. There are other changes you can make which are more significant. You can find some videos on this website. Make your choice if you want to turn it On or Off. Just press down on the icon until you have the desired effect.
