Turn On or Off the Option to Approve Calls Outside of Skype with Microsoft Lumia 535
Edited by Thor, Melissa Rae, Eng
Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to turn on or off the option to always be prompted before calling external links when using the Skype application on a Microsoft Lumia 535.
Steps
- 1
- 2
- 3It has a blue background, and in the middle is the Skype logo, which is a white circle with a blue letter "S" inside. If the Skype application hasn't been pinned to the home screen, swipe to the left and locate it in the 'Apps' menu. Once you've located the Skype tile, press down on it, and this will take us into the application. On the home screen, we need to find the 'Skype' tile.

- 5
- 6We can see it's turned on. It says the word 'On' and it has a blue bar. If it's full with blue, it means it's on, and if it's not, then it means it's turned off. We may want to be asked before calling external links if we press a button by mistake. It's not going to automatically allow us to connect or to call an external link. This will save us money, and will hopefully save us some problems as well. If we have this turned off and we press a button by mistake, it's possible that we will call an expensive number, or it will take us somewhere that we don't want to go. By turning this option on, we will always be asked if you want to call an external link.To turn this option off, swipe the icon from right to left.
